Our Awesome Team

Margaret

Designer, Moda Vi Dance Founder, Musician

Margaret's interest for fashion began at a young age when she sparked upon the idea to create dresses for dolls. As her skills quickly grew, so did the scale of her work. From miniscule dresses, she progressed to sewing trendy full-sized creations customized for her mother. News of her talent began to spread, which expanded to custom clothing being made for more relatives and close friends.

This growing passion of clothing design had to be placed aside at times as Margaret pursued a career in teaching music. However, the desire to create clothing always persisted.

After moving to Canada, Margaret continued to create princess dresses for her first daughter, and pretty ballet costumes for her second. When second daughters began to discover new dance styles, more design inspiration came from DanceSport and traditional Polish folk dance.

A costume designer at heart with an academic background in music, Margaret's passion for the arts fuels her soul to continuously create and develop.

All of this eventually combined into an aspiring idea from which Moda Vi Dance was born.

Emilia

Assistant Designer, Moda Vi Dance Model, Dancer

Emilia began dancing at a very young age... and hasn't stopped ever since. She has had the wonderful opportunity to explore various styles such as ballet, competitive ballroom (latin and standard), modern, contemporary, jazz and tap.

After graduating high-school, she decided to share her love of dance by becoming a teacher. Over time, she completed a program to become a registered R.A.D. Ballet instructor, and continues to expand her dance knowledge.

With a desire to keep close to her family's roots and expand her dance knowledge, Polish folk was another passion to put on her plate. This also inspired her to partake in a four year diploma for Polish folk Choreography in Rzeszow Poland.

Aside from dancing, an interest in fashion has always existed for Emilia. This hobby was developed through the search of trying to find her personal style, while updating herself with trends. As a result, she can often be found searching through vintage sewing patterns, design magazines, browsing online, or even rummaging through her mother's closet.

Emilia's fashion curiousity and contribution to the dance world result in being a great asset to Moda Vi Dance. With artistic mind alike Emilia and her mother continuously collaborate in design.
